Dr. Ali Acar is a General Surgery Specialist with a dedicated clinical focus on bariatric and metabolic surgery. After graduating from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, he completed his General Surgery residency at Antalya Training and Research Hospital. Since 2022, his clinical practice has concentrated on obesity and metabolic surgery across premier medical institutions in Istanbul and Antalya.

Dr. Acar holds the prestigious international accreditation of SRC Surgeon of Excellence in Metabolic & Bariatric Surgery. His surgical interests include primary and revisional bariatric procedures, sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and advanced endoscopic weight-loss therapies. To further refine his expertise, he completed advanced on-site training in complex revisional (re-do) bariatric surgery under the mentorship of Dr. Bruno Dillemans in Bruges, Belgium.

Bariatric surgery
Surgery that treats obesity and related conditions by changing stomach size, gut hormone signalling or nutrient absorption.
Metabolic syndrome
