What Is the Process for Getting a Dental Bridge?

The very first step to the dentist’s office, be ready to answer questions about your medical history. Then, for further examination, your dentist will take the graph of your mouth. Your dentist will be explaining the procedure. If you are advised that you will need a dental bridge the abutment teeth are set for use. Then, impressions of teeth are made for the permanent ones. During that time you will receive a temporary bridge to wear.

During the second visit, you will receive your permanent ones. Before taking its final form your dentist will check and adjust the new porcelain or metal bridge, accordingly, to achieve the most proper fit. To check the metal framework to see if it fits and looks natural your dentist may require multiple visits. This will be depending on each patient’s case.
